About Us
Hey there, I'm Mel.
I was born and raised in Tennessee, and some of my favorite memories happened in the back seat of our family's minivan.
Growing up, vacation meant hitting the road. We made our way up to Gatlinburg more times than I can count, and over the years we drove to Washington, DC, down to Florida, over to the Carolinas and plenty of places in between. Half the fun was getting there: piled in the back, playing road games to pass the miles and watching the world roll by out the window.
There were no cellphones or tablets back then. Life was simple, but every bit of it was memorable.
Maybe you remember it too. The gas station snacks. The songs on the radio. Falling asleep against the window and waking up somewhere new.
Somewhere along the way, those roads became part of who I am. I bet some of them are part of you, too. The town you grew up in. The trip your family took every summer. That stretch of two-lane highway that always meant you were almost home.
That's what Dust & Mile is all about. Every design is a little piece of the road: the music towns, the stockyards, the swamps and the back roads that stay with you long after the trip is over. When you pull one on, I hope it takes you right back there, to simpler times.
Dust & Mile grew out of our little Etsy shop, where it all started. Every piece is printed to order in the USA on soft, broken-in cotton, the kind of tee you'd want for the long drive.
And because that's how I was raised, you'll always be treated like family here. If something isn't right, just write us at support@dustandmile.com and we'll make it right. A real person reads every message.
So pull up a chair, roll the windows down and come along for the ride. This journey is yours as much as it is ours, and we're so glad you're here.
See you down the road,
Mel
